There is nothing like a Christmas song or carol to get you into the festive spirit.
My family visited me today from Birmingham and we went for a wander round Windsor. There were some lovely decorations up and the Christmas tree (minus lights) was up outside the castle. It really will look lovely once the lights are on. I heard my first Christmas song in Hotel Chocolat - Little Drummer Boy by Bing Crosby - parumpapumpum! Christmas music really does have something about it, that stirs the memories and makes you feel all warm inside.
I went on to buy a compilation of traditional Christmas songs so that come the 1st December I can play them around the flat and annoy the boy! Good Times! It had to be traditional songs though - none of this 'Proper Crimbo' business by Avid Merrion and friends. I'm talking carols and traditional songs like Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas sung by Judy Garland. Lovely Lovely!
