Vintage Christmas Cards

The first Christmas cards originated in the 1840s but they weren't like the cards we are used to today. They used to contain flowers or fairies to reflect the coming of Spring. The World Wars saw Christmas cards becoming patriotic but by the 1950's cards began to depict the Christmas scenes we are used to... with wintery scenes and Santa Claus common images.
